Kibbeh is a Levantine dish made with bulgur wheat, onions, and ground meat, typically lamb or beef. It can be served raw, baked, grilled, or deep-fried.
Description
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 onion minced
1 clove garlic minced
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 cups flour
2 cups water ( more or less)
Recipe
Dough Preparation:
Step 1: Mix all the ingredients except the flour in a bowl and set aside.
Step 2: Add flour to another bowl and slowly add water while mixing the dough by hand until the dough is smooth and slightly sticky.
Step 3: Remove dough from the bowl and divide it into four equal portions.
Dumpling Assembly:
Step 4: Take one piece of dough and cover the remaining portions with plastic wrap to prevent drying.
Step 5: Roll the dough into a thick rope and cut it into 2-inch pieces.
Step 6: Shape each piece into a flat circle.
Step 7: Stuff each circle with a tablespoon of meat and seal the ends using a bit of water.
Step 8: Repeat the process until you use up the remaining ingredients.
